![]() ![]() ![]() I expect that if I gave it a system SSD it would run DV just fine.ĮDIT: In fact I have a 3rd old W7U 圆4 machine of similar spec, only a 3.3GHz E6800 CoreDuo CPU 8GB RAM and SSD. It's an old dogsbody that basically does NAS and backup server duties. The first machine has SSD and copes fine, the stuttery one has a cruddy old Samsung HDD from about 2005, which does not. ![]() To me that it works fine every few seconds suggests that the machine can easily cope with decoding and display, but DV's video library is spooling data to a cache on disk. That has the same W7U 圆4 OS and a Core2Quad 2.4GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, AMD Firepro 2270 GPU, but the system disk is a fairly slow HDD.ĭV runs fine in spurts, slowing down and evidently emptying a buffer faster than it can refill it. GPU is Nvidia Quadro FX880M.ĭV will not run smoothly on the old clunker that hosts the dashcam files. It does have an SSD system drive, but 'only' 8GB of RAM, CPU is i5 M520 2.4GHz. Added Chinese translation (thanks, oddly, Dashcam Viewer is smooth as silk on my Win7 Ultimate 圆4 first-gen, 2007 i5 Dell Precision M4500 laptop, playing A119S that are hosted on a 1gbps network machine.Added more verbose explanations of GPS data processing errors (these explanations appear when the mouse is hovered over the wrench symbol in the Movies and Geotags window).Made Preferences window modal so multiple instances will not clutter the screen. In addition, you can now specify the Local Time offset from UTC when exporting data to CSV file. This will not affect the timestamp at the top of the movie window but will affect the output of CSV, GPX, and KML files. Entering the correct UTC offset in the Preferences "Advanced" tab will apply the correction such that UTC timestamps will no longer be displayed in Local time when exporting to CSV or GPX files. Users can now compensate for dash cams that do not store their GPS data in UTC-relative time. This version adds the following enhancements: Dashcam Viewer v2.7.2 Released for Mac and Windowsĭashcam Viewer v2.7.2 is now available from our website. ![]()
